Free, Living, & Serving Jesus

Free in Christ

We believe the most important truth of God’s Word is the forgiveness of sins delivered freely as a gift of grace by Jesus to be received in faith.

Living Faith

We believe we are transformed by the gospel and called by Christ to walk our daily life in growing, living faith and deepening relationship with our Savior.

Serving Jesus

We believe we are part of God’s local church where He is preparing and leading us to serve our neighbor with the same love we have received.

His Word, Worship & Witness

His Word

God's Word is of infallible divine authority in all matters upon which it touches: it is to be believed as God's instruction in all that it affirms, obeyed as God's command in all that it requires, embraced as God's pledge in all that it promises.

His Worship

We worship with both reverence and joy because God is both perfectly holy and graciously merciful. Each worship service is meant to be a journey to the cross to receive His grace and respond. Every journey to the cross will engage and equip us.

His Witness

The assurance of salvation that the Holy Spirit brings through the Word of God compels us to witness to others concerning what we have received in Christ. We believe the mission of the church is to make disciples and bring glory to Jesus Christ.

More Information

Beliefs

Our church holds to the three historic ecumenical creeds (Apostles', Nicene, & Athanasian Creeds) as faithful and reliable expositions of biblical teaching and truth.

Fundamental Principles

The Fundamental Principles have been the guide for the free church movement since 1897. They define the nature, work, and freedom of the local congregation.

Convictions

Our church has clarified its convictions on a number of issues of relevance to our Christian witness in an increasingly post-Christian culture.

Inerrancy

Our church holds to the inspiration, authority, and inerrancy of Scripture as defined by the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy.

Governance

Our congregation is an autonomous, self-governing church within the AFLC. The congregation reserves final say, and elects a Council made up of Deacons and Trustees.

Confessions

Our church holds to the unaltered Augsburg Confession and Luther's Small Catechism as faithful expositions of Christian doctrine.
